The Sign Of a New Era
From the edge of extinction to the faith that changed the world and time of the history.
On that occasion, through four episodes, the Education and Science Department will take a peek into the places and events on Serbian soil which paved the way to the world we know today throughout the early history of Christianity.
We reveal the time of unwavering sufferers - martyrs for the new religion, time of boom of architectural achievements - churches and basilicas, and their influence on the suppression of old beliefs, but also the time of extraordinary works of art - traces of fresco painting which emerge from the underground early Christian tombs in order to evoke all the complexity of life, faith and consciousness of the individual, but also of the lost world of early Christians.
We conjure up the time when the Roman emperors born on Serbian soil defined the destiny of today's world by their decisions.
