Self-employed represent a significant economic incentive for private initiative and according to research, they are mostly involved in the service sector and agriculture. Surveys from previous years show that Serbia has a positive trend in self-employment.

Unlike Serbia, in the UK, since 2008 the number of self-employed has been increasing significantly compared to other profiles in the workforce. Today this country has some 4.5 million entrepreneurs. More precisely, 1 out of 7 employees is self-employed.
